!!!! Before you do anything, I recommend making a backup of your HUDs and Weapons. !!!!

Version 2.35 Release Info
This is a major revision of the combat evolution huds.
It includes many fixes and improvements as well as alterations to game play.
Please see the release notes at the bottom of this document for more information on the changes.


Weapons HUD Controls and display
--------------------------------------
The green bar on the HUD is your health meter. This decreases when another player or an NPC attacks you. When your stamina is full your health will increase gradually. When your health bar reaches zero you will die. Pressing the Reset button on the right will regenerate your health after a 5 second cool off period. If you press this button while your health is partially full it will cause you to immediately die. This will count as a suicide on the score table. Be careful, only use this if you want to reset and do not mind this being noted on the score table. A better alternative is to wait for your stamina and health to regenerate.

The Yin/Yang symbol is used to charge your weapon. When you weapon is charged your next strike will cause massive damage. It takes 5 seconds to charge, during this time you will be vulnerable. If you do not use the charged weapon within 10 seconds it will fizzle out its power.

A quicker alternative to this is to block. When you are blocking (using the page down key on your keyboard or the button on the button control pad) you will not take any damage from your opponent, and your weapon will become charged immediately ready for a powerful counter attack. If a player is blocking you can use a down arrow attack to knock them out of the block and cause damage.

The first button on the HUD (marked with a crossed swords icon) is the draw/sheath your weapon button. When your weapon is sheathed you cannot do any damage with it. None of the controls will work.

The HUDs are set up and sold with specifically designed weapons/attachments. The weapons are separate and do not contain any active controls. So if you have made your own weapon (of the same style.) and would like to use it in combat, you can use it with this HUD. The weapons designed to go with the HUD include various special effects. You can find more information on the effects in your specific weapons documentation.


HUD OPTIONS MENU
----------------------
The middle button (marked with a spanner icon) is the options and settings button, this will bring down a sub menu with the following available options.

SL Damage/Push - This option pops up a blue menu which allows you to turn SL Damage On/Off & Push On/Off. It also allows you to adjust the Amount of SL Damage the HUD can do on each hit, as well as the power of the push.

Reset HUD - This will reset the HUD. Should it not load properly you can use this option to reset the scripts inside the HUD.
(Please note as of 2.35 it is no longer possible to modify your HUD which is what the reset button was originally for. I have left the button here though as it may still prove useful from time to time.)

C.E. On/Off - This is a new feature as of v2.35 This allows you to turn off all the Combat Evolution scoring features, but still keep the hud attacks working. This is for anyone that is using the hud with a compatible combat system. ( The keyboard attack method will work with various combat systems such as DCS. ) If the Combat Evolution features are turned off the HUD will not do any damage to other combat evolution fighters, and will not accept any damage from other combat evolution players.

Sound FX - You can turn on and off the various sound effects. This includes weapon sounds and voice sounds.

Player Stats - This is a quick link to your avatars Combat Evolution stats page.

Fight Invites - This option allows you to turn on/off fight invites. If it is on, other combat evolution players can see that you are wearing a hud, and invite you to fight with them via there own huds.

Special Options - This is an additional option that will pop up a special menu of extra options. Currently the only additional feature in this menu is the ability to turn on/off stop motion. When stop motion is on your avatar will be fixed in position when you attack. If you have stop motion turned off, your avatar will keep moving around when you attack. ( The later is recommended for PvP fighting. )

Help/Forums - This is a web link to the combat evolution forums. Please feel free to join in any C.E. related discussions here.

Extra Options - This button will cause the weapon/attachment you have with the hud to pop up its own set of options. This can vary depending on what you have attached with this HUD.


CONTROLLING YOUR WEAPON
-------------------------------
The bottom second to the right button will bring down a menu allowing you to control the attacks and blocks using your mouse by clicking on buttons to block and attack. You may use this method or keyboard controls.
( PLEASE NOTE: Although the button controls will perform the animations and work with the Combat Evolution combat system, they may not work with other combat systems such as DCS.

As well as using the button controls you can also use the keyboard and mouse to control your weapon. To use keyboard hold your left mouse button down on the ground near your avatar. Whilst holding the mouse button down tap the arrow keys to perform a strike. To Block use the page down key on your keyboard. Holding page down will hold a block until you release it.


IND A FIGHT
------------
The bottom right hand button on the hud labelled FIND is to help you find other fighters and monsters. It will pop up a blue options menu with 3 choices.

Locations - This will display the clubs page on the website which lists some featured clubs that you can go to and find other people to fight or train with.

Quests - This is a link to the quests webpage. At the time of writing this, the quests page is empty. I will be adding more to this as soon as possible.

Invite - This option will scan for nearby avatars wearing the hud and pop up a list of those avatars that have chosen to be visible in there options menu. You can select one of there names from a blue drop down list to invite them to fight with you. If they decline or accept your invite you will be notified in chat. This feature has been added as of v2.35 to provide an easier mechanism for finding people to fight with.



Additional Options
--------------------
You can hide the hud while you have it attached using the command /1hidemahud
You can make it visible again using the command /1showmahud

using these commands will move it on/off your screens visible area.



Website
---------
The URL to the website is www.combatevolution.com

This site contains high score tables and statistics as well as information on quests and events. There is a quick link to the site through your weapon hud`s options menu. You can also find more information and help about combat evolution, quests and weapons on this site. There is a group set up in world also for news and updates, feel free to join.





Compatibility With Other Combat Systems
----------------------------------------------
This weapon is currently compatible with the following SL combat systems

SL Damage - if you enable the SL damage option on the HUD you can do SL damage in damage and build enabled zones
Safezone - Damage will be done to people using the safezone combat system

DCS - This hud is compatible with the DCS control method and other similar combat systems. It is only compatible via the keyboard attack control method, the HUD Buttons will not do anything. You will need the DCS system (or other similar combat system) attached to your avatar to do damage. The HUD does not inflict any damage of its own in these other systems.




Version 2.35 Release Notes
------------------------------
The following changes have been made for v 2.35 of the combat evolution huds

- Appearance of the HUD has been changed.

- Attack buttons on the hud now have a 2 second delay before they can be pressed again to prevent button spamming.

- The HUDs are now no modify to prevent tampering.
Sorry anyone that liked to add there own anims, this is a necessary change to prevent people having an unfair advantage with confusing animations, and to reduce the threat of HUD hacking.... Although Ive seen no direct evidence of anyone actually cheating via hud modifications, it is certainly clear that people have been trying.

- Ive also added a multitude of other security features to prevent cheating.

- Old HUDs are not compatible with the new HUDs
(Please note, old huds will also no longer score on the website. )

- Freebie weapons can still be used to fight premium weapons, but any deaths and PvP kills will not be registered on the website.
This is for two primary reasons....
a) Stop the website being filled up with newbie suicides.
b) More importantly to prevent experienced players knotching there stats up quickly by killing newbies with the considerably lower powered free huds.

- Options menu shuffled around. All SL Damage and Push features now appear under one submenu that can be triggered in options.

- Combat Evolution health and damage can be turned off now via the C.E.On/Off button in the options menu. This is so the hud can be used with other combat systems and not register or deal out any Combat Evolution Damage.

- Find menu has been added. This provides web links to web pages detailing where people can go to fight. It also includes the new Invite feature which will scan for nearby avatars that are wearing the hud and wish to fight. The system allows you to send out invites and accept invites. You can turn the invites receiving system off in the options menu if you do not wish to be bothered.

- Ive removed all the old redundant DCS scripts. ( The didn’t do anything anymore anyway. )

First, thanks for activing my account.

Then, well…

I was out of SL for more than a month, due to a computer problem. When I left Combat evolution was a really good system, that just need some fixes to avoid some cheating.
Ok, that was done. Even if it's a pain in the ass not to be able to move around the buttons like we prefer them to be, according to how we fight, I can understand why it has to be done.
What I don't understand is this stupid idea to forbide hitting twice with the same move. Will you see a MMA fighter in RL having to wait because he wants to throw the same punch as before ? I haven't, never.
This is just wrong, and unrealistic as hell.
If you want to disadvantage peoples that use only the same move, it would be more reallistic to make the moves after the first one to do 1% less in dammage, to take in account than the opponent may have adapted to it.
1% may not seem a lot, but on the number of hits you land, it can really become a more lot than you may think.
C.E was very good before this stupid idea, it was one of the more realist system I knew.
What will be the next step ? To get ride of the health, and have fights decided by a push system, so C.E would become even worse as some so-called boxing system like averlast, feverlast and such ?
This issue really need to be fixed real soon.
We had a formula 1 in fighting hud, we now have a trabant. This is very sad indeed.
