walk/swim/fly vehicles

Following the success of the orginal couples walkers, ive created a series of couples vehicles which walk, fly and swim together. Ive posted the instructions on this website. The new vehicles available are :- Piggy Back, Hold Hands, Carry On Shoulders, Carry in Arms, Hang on Walk, Cuddle Carry, Carry Over Shoulder, Ride On Back, Couples Arm in Arm Walk. They are available from my main store on the sim Animations.

Couples Walk/Swim/Fly ( Havok 4 optimised)

This vehicle is Copy/Mod/No Transfer

This walker is a vehicle that allows you to move around in tandem with another avatar. To use it you must drop it on the ground, and sit on it.
(This item is a Vehicle, it is NOT an attachment.)

When you drop it on the ground you will see two main sections, one part os blue and one part is pink.
(Note This is not necessarily to denote male/female, although in most cases it probably will.)

The driver of the vehicle, who controls all the movement must sit on the blue section. Only one Avatar, can control the movement. Once both avatars are sitting the couples walker can be controled using the arrow keys for forward/back and turning. And the page up page down keys to adjust hover height.

The walker does NOT automatically adjust itself to the surface height, this is so that you can walk over prim surfaces, and natural terrain, go upstairs etc. The height the device is from the ground is adjusted manually with the page up and page down keys on your keyboard.

This version has been brought out to fix various bugs that have appeared since Havok 4, and imrove its general overall performance.

Options Menu
This new version contains additional features that older versions did not. If you type /99menu in chat you can access the options menu.

The menu has the following options...

Speed - This menu option allows you to adjust the speed at which he walker will travel.

Camera - This has some special camera options which are much smoother than the traditional fixed camera view.

AllowDriver - This allows you to let another avatar drive.

(The driver you allow will  still need to sit on the driver seat, this version of the walker will not allow anyone other than the owner to drive, except when the owner gives express permission to another avatar. Once that avatar stands up, permission will be revoked automatically. The owner will need to grant it to them again before they can take the driver role again.)

Hide/Show - This turns the platform invisible/visible (You can also use the commands /99hide and /99show in chat)

FloatOn/FloatOff - Havok 4 has changed a lot of behaviour of the physics in secondlife. I have added two options you can toggle between in the options menu. FloatOn will cause the avatar to hover with neutral boyancy. This option is probably best for most uses, however you may find if other avatars are near by you float up as Havok 4 tries to seperate the avatars apart it seems. If you toggle the option FloatOff, you will slowly sink counteracting any  unnatural upward forces. This option will also help the walker try and adjust to the floor level automatically. You may find on some surfaces though, it feels like you are dragging your feet abit. Use either option depending on what seems to work best for you at that time, on any particualr surface.

AdjustPos- Although you can still reposition the two sections of the walker by hand using the sl edit controls, you may find the AdjustPos menu useful. It allows you to shift the passanger section around by units of 1 and 10. Please note though that due to the way SL works, you will not see any visible change until the passanger Avatar stands up and sits down again.

TroubleShooting

Floating Up
------------
Please note that since the Havok 4 implementation, objects try to move apart from each other when they are interpenetrating...this seems to include avatars.
If you seem to be floating up for no good reason, it is quite possible that there is an avatar standing near you causing this effect.
Turning the float off feature should counter this effect, although at times you may find it harder to control the vehicle as it forces the avatar to sink with a steady force, which may give the effect of dragging your heals. It depends very much on the kind of surface you are walking on.

Adjusting Position
-------------------
Please note That due to the way SL works, you will not see any visible change when adjusting the passanger section using the menu options until the passanger Avatar stands up and sits down again.

Adjusting the default height from the ground
-------------------------------------------------
If you seem to be floating above the ground level, or your feet are sinking into the ground when you lower the walker down to ground level. you may need to adjust the circular base prim at the bottom of the walker which acts as a ground barrier. (Without it, the feet sink below the ground).

Adjust the slightly up or down using the SL edit tools if required.
