Dance Sphere FAQ

My dance sphere doesn't do anything when I attach it. What is wrong?

Does it still contain all the scripts. It should contain the following scripts: Dance Sphere, dancers 1 - dancers 15, Display. If it does not contain these 17 scripts it will not function correctly.

If it does contain all these scripts, but is still not working. Make sure that they are running. To do this right click on the dance sphere and select edit. Then go to the tools menu at the top of the screen and selection the option 'Set Scripts in selection to running' then select the option 'reset scripts in selection'. This should fix any problems arising from broken or stopped scripts.

Some of the chat commands for my dance sphere do not work . For example I cannot list dances.

Some controls will only work when you are in manual mode. They are for selecting dances.

I have white text floating above my dancesphere, can i fix it?

Yes, white text floating above it usually means that a script ws dropped inside by accident that creates this text. You can fix it by doing the following.

a) Drop the dancesphere on the ground, right click on it, select edit and go to the contents tab.

b) Click on the button labled 'New Script' . This will create a new script inside the dancesphere called 'New Script'

c) Open up this script in your dancesphere by double clicking on it, and edit it so it reads the following and nothing else....

default
{
    state_entry()
    {
        llSetText("",<1,1,1>,1);
    }
}

d) Click the 'Save' button in the bottom right of this script edit window, the script will save, and the text will be removed. Once the text is gone you can delete this script from the dancespheres inventory.
