A rail gun in it's simplest form is a pair of conducting rails separated by a distance with one rail connected to the positive and one the negative side of a power source. A conducting projectile bridges the gap between the rails, completing the electrical circuit. A magnetic field is created, pushing the projectile forward at high velocity. This railgun has several ammunition types. The regular has settings hi power and low power. For full damage you can use the 'Anti Matter' setting which is full damage, push and leaves organic broken pieces behind where the avatar was standing. Anti shield, and phantom are special shield attacking ammunition. There is also a harmless ammunition which does no damage, it will register with a health pack though allowing you to play fight with friends who also have this gun or compatible devices. This gun is designed to be a shield breaker, and is extremely efficient. INSTRUCTIONS ----------------- ** Touching the gun brings up the options menu. ** Arm/Disarm - This will bring the rail gun up into the aiming position ready to fire.
Help - Will display this notecard, if you need a reminder of how to operate the gun. Extras - Access to the gun special effects (steam/discharge canister/fire) CMoves On/CMoves Off - This will turn on and off the built in 'Cool Moves' animation overider. This has smooth animations for walking, running, jumping, falling, crouching and turning. It will enhance your game creating a much more cinematic feel. The main gun features recoil and other animations as standard which merge with the Cool Moves animations to bring your av to life with the style of a fps game. ( There is a special function in this which allows you to jump slightly higher than normal. To do this you must crouch down before jumping. The longer you crouch the higher you will jump. There is a limit to the height however.) Antishield - Phantom bullets which will pass through many shields. Anti Matter - This is a full push and damage mode, It will Frag the other player into pieces. (The avatar will in fact be pushed into another sim or similar. Hitting an av or an active object (such as a physical moving object) will cause the frag effect. ...organic chunks and lots of blood. No Harm - This will make the gun harmless. It will still fire, but the bullets will do no damage and have no push on the avatars it hits. This is an advisable mode if you are using the health pack to have a fight with friends. The health pack will still keep Hit Score.
Low Power - This is a low power setting which will cause the bullets to cause slight damage to an avatar in damage enabled areas, and give them a slight push.
Hi Power - This is a hi power setting wich although not fatal, will push and damage an avatar considerable. For full damage use the anti matter option.
If you do not select an option within a few seconds of touching the gun, the menu will time out. You will have to touch the gun again before it will accept any new options selected. **~** Health Pack **~** The Included Health Pack is for people using this gun and compatible products to play fight with a scoreing system. More compatible products will follow. Instructions :- i) Attach the health pack to your AV. ii) To start it will be visible, if you touch it it will become invisible and health set to 100% iii) Health will go down when you are shot, upon reaching zero you will die and the healthpack will become visible again. If you want to reset the healthpack during the game say '/1 die' and you will die. You will then be able to touch the healthpack and start fresh. As this technicle is possible in the middle of a game, it is advisable to have a certain degree of 'Honor' and not cheat. The health pack is not a complete gaming system, it is designed simply as a fun alternative to make combat more practicle. The health pack and game will be updated continuously into a larger game.
