This package includes a personal edition sky joust bird, along with a control HUD.
** Sky Joust Mount Instructions **
These mounts are vehicles that you can ride and joust with in Secondlife.
Please note that they are NOT attachments. Do not attach or wear them on your avatar to use, rather rez them on the ground in front of your Avatar and sit on them to fly them.
** The basic controls are as follows. **
Tap the page up key repeatedly to flap your wings for lift. When you are not tapping your mount will start to hover down. For a slightly quicker descent you can tap the page down key. If you hit an object in the air called Object or Platform your bird will fall. When on the ground or standing on an 'Object' or 'Platform' prim your mount will walk instead of fly.
change direction - Arrow keys
flap wings for lift - Page Up Key
flap wings for a quicker than normal descent - Page Down Key
** Options **
You can access the options menu for the bird while you are sitting on it, via the HUD, or by saying the command '/98menu' in chat.
The options menu has the following options...
AvatarType - Switch the riders animations between Regular Human Shape, and Tiny Avatar Shape.
JoustMode - Switches joust mode for sky jousting on and off
Credits - Displays the credits in chat for the sky joust product
SoundOn/SoundOff - Turns the sound effects on and off.
Camera - This has a few options for the camera view. JoustCam is a basic fixed camera view behind your mount which is most suitable when jousting. Entering JoustMode automatically switches to this camera view. ( You can however change it back to one of the other views if you prefer. )
Squark - This will make your mount Squark ( If they are a bird style mount )
** Passengers **
Once you are sitting on your mount, a second person can sit on the back if you wish. When they sit they will be asked if they are a human or tiny avatar, and the respective animation will be played.
** Joust Mode & Jousting Matches **
When you enter joust mode a green lance will appear on your mount. This lance changes color if you are hit by another sky jouster. It turns from green to yellow through to red. When it is red, one more hit will cause you to be dismounted. IMPORTANT! Please keep in mind that when in joustmode your mount will delete if you are dismounted in a match (or if you dismount when your health is worse than yellow.) Please make sure that you have a backups of your mount in your inventory.
To joust others, fly into them from slightly above. The jouster who has the higher altitude will score the point. Flying quickly past may not result in a hit, the best strategy is to try and hover for as long as you can above and facing your opponent. Doing this may even score several hits if you are lucky !
Your health will regenerate (very slowly) over time. If you collect an egg dropped by a dismounted sky jouster then your health will be restored to full.
Some objects or surfaces in a jousting arena may cause your health to slowly deplete. (for example lava). Likewise some objects may cause your health to regenerate slowly.
The prims which do damage are called 'Damage Prim' and those that regenerate health are called 'Health Prim'
If you are standing on a surface that will cause damage to your mount, you will see flames comeing from your mounts feet as a visual warning.
** The Sky Joust Website **
When you die the scores are logged on the sky joust website. The URL for this is http://www.abranimations.com/joust . As well as overall in world scores, this website also keeps track of regional scores. This is especially useful if you are holding events in your sim and wish to display only the scores for your sim. On the website you can also see a log of the past 25 sky jousting battles in world. On the website as well as the kill/lose scores, are game scores. These are worked out based on the lose and kills, and may also be used in the future for other games.
